What We’ve Heard So Far: Interactive Comment Map

In addition to conducting a survey to hear Tucsonans transportation priorities, Move Tucson also developed an interactive input map to let Tucsonans submit specific project ideas and comments about different areas of the transportation system. Tucsonans submitted over 1,500 project ideas and made over 6,000 comments. See the results below.

Tucson Transportation Network Opportunities:

  • Prioritize maintenance, including repaving roadways and bikeways, removing debris, repairing sidewalks, and addressing potholes across the network
  • Improve connectivity by closing network gaps, providing safe crossings at major roadways for all users, and supporting cross-town mobility options
  • Increase shade and vegetation to improve comfort of travel along roadways and paths
  • Improve access for persons with disabilities, particularly for trails and bridges
  • Slow vehicle speeds to improve safety and comfort of travel along city roadways

  • Pedestrian routes should be more direct and connect to destinations, such as Sabino Canyon, 4th Avenue and transit access downtown, Sentinel Peak, and neighborhood destinations such as schools and libraries
